Francesco Genovese is an Italian pastry chef distinguished for his modern vision, technical precision, and ability to elevate pastry into an artistic form. His career spans some of the most prestigious culinary environments in the world. He previously managed the pastry department at The Fat Duck, widely regarded as one of the best restaurants in the world, where he refined his approach to innovation, flavour balance, and creative presentation.

Francesco is Head Pastry Chef at Harrods, leading one of the most dynamic and influential pastry teams in the world. He contributes to the evolution of the luxury department store’s dessert identity, merging contemporary aesthetics with exceptional craftsmanship

He is also an active member of the IPCA committee, supporting the international development of pastry arts and contributing to the growth of the global pastry community.

Francesco currently represents the United Kingdom as the chocolate candidate for the UK team in the selection for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, showcasing his expertise in chocolate artistry and high-level competition work.

Combining Italian heritage, sculptural design, and forward-thinking technique, Francesco continues to define himself as one of the most promising and creative pastry chefs of his generation.
